Who we are
Founded in 2010 in rural Wichian Buri, Phetchabun Province, Thailand, the Wichian Animal Home was created with the mission of rescuing and caring for abandoned, abused, injured, and unwanted dogs and cats. What began as a small family effort has grown into a sanctuary providing daily care and shelter for approximately 80 dogs and 40 cats, while also feeding and supporting stray animals in the surrounding area.
The animal home is located on approximately five acres of rural land, providing space for animal housing, exercise areas, feeding zones, and future expansion. The site was originally fully fenced to create a safe and secure environment for the animals, however sections now require repair and improvement due to age and increasing use. Existing facilities, including the purpose built cattery and kennel areas, also require ongoing renovation and expansion to meet the growing demands of the rescue centre.
Run by a dedicated family team, the centre continues to provide food, medical treatment, shelter, and long term care for vulnerable animals despite rising operational costs and limited resources. Their commitment remains focused on improving animal welfare and giving rescued animals a safe and caring home.
